At the foot of the Massif des Maures, Domaine du Rayol represents an exceptional natural and architectural heritage. In 1989, the Conservatoire du Littoral commissioned landscape architect Gilles Clément to restore the site. He designed the Jardin des Méditerranées, an evocation of the world’s Mediterranean landscapes.

The Domaine du Rayol is a 20-hectare protected natural area, owned by the Conservatoire du Littoral, located at Le Rayol-Canadel-sur-Mer, at the foot of the Massif des Maures and facing the Iles d’Hyères, in the Var region between Le Lavandou and Saint-Tropez.

To discover this garden is to feel some of the emotions experienced by a botanical explorer as he surveys the planet!

Domaine du Rayol welcomes you every day of the year. Permanent exhibitions, guided discovery tours, themed tours, workshops, seasonal celebrations, a plant festival, a marine trail and musical evenings in summer. On-site: Café des Jardiniers, specialist bookshop, ecological nursery.
